Modern Comfort Food in the Heart of Hoxton
Feeding Hoxton Since 2005
Kwaku has been feeding Hoxton since 2005. It started with a simple idea: proper food, fair prices, and a place where everyone feels welcome. Over twenty years later, it’s still exactly that.
The food pulls from Caribbean and British roots. Think BBQ short rib with gravy, oxtail croquettes, bao buns stuffed with cod goujons or fried plantain, and a burger that’s become a bit of a local legend. Everything is cooked from scratch each morning using ingredients sourced locally wherever possible.
Enola also runs a Seniors Lunch Club for elderly residents in the area, gives out free morning coffees to anyone with a reusable cup, and regularly supports local charities. The kitchen has moved and grown over the years, but the heart of it hasn’t changed.
When you walk in, you’re not a customer. You’re a guest.
